Letter From Deion Sanders
My name is Deion Sanders. Most of America knows me as the professional athlete who made great strides in both the NFL and the National Baseball League, but now I’ve embarked on a new mission in my life. Simply put, I am fighting to save America’s future - our children - from gang and youth violence.

My career has taught me that sustainable success can never be achieved without a team effort. As a result, I have joined the team of Vision Regeneration as a Member of the Board. Our mission is to change the cultural environment of at-risk youth, which leads them into violent and destructive behaviors. We provide alternative life experiences targeting local youth leadership and work to transform their values, attitudes, morals, and future. We teach urban youth the core principles of duty, honor, and sacrifice. Vision Regeneration is a nonprofit organization that has served Dallas County in the areas of youth violence prevention and gang intervention since 1998. We are very proud of what we have accomplished during this time. We have not only received the Key to the City of Dallas, but also were invited to Washington, D.C., where we received the White House Award for Achievement Against the Odds. Our intervention strategies are currently being used to successfully transition children out of the Dallas County Juvenile Services System and into a life of being productive citizens.

We believe these young people are part of the promise of America. They have the ability to lead productive lives, to help America compete in a global economy, and to impact all humanity with the principles of duty, honor and sacrifice that they learn from Vision Regeneration. Our goal is to extend these principles to youth all across America. This is
our vision for America’s youth.

Vision Regeneration is kicking off its first fundraising campaign - Catch the Vision. We are asking for your support as a Friend ($25 - $49), Supporter ($50 - $99), Patron ($100 - $249), Benefactor ($250 - $499) or Sponsor ($500 or above). Of course, gifts in any amount are welcome and appreciated.

Vision Regeneration is partnering with five anonymous major donors who have already generously contributed to our cause.

We have also enclosed a survey. For each completed survey we receive, an anonymous donor will contribute an extra $10 to Vision Regeneration. Please join me as we catch the vision together!
